COVID-19 has accelerated the need for digitalization of clinical trials in a big way, especially with the slowing down of traditional clinical trials.

Though, our survey amongst 231 global clinical trial sites and sponsors indicates that many of the actively recruiting clinical trial sites are still reluctant to integrate digital technologies into their processes. Cost, complexity, and finding the right technologies are reported as the main barriers to digital adoption.
