Indegene accelerates patient recruitment for a global biopharma with omnichannel campaigns and concierge services

The Customer

A leading biopharma wanted to augment their patient recruitment strategies for an ongoing contraceptive drug clinical trial to meet the patient enrolment requirements within the stipulated timelines and achieve patient diversity to enrich the quality of study outcomes.

The Challenge

Identifying relevant clinical trial participants from the high volume of generic website traffic
Meeting patient enrolment targets across US, Canada and Puerto Rico within a short time span
Building credibility with participants to minimize drop-off during the clinical trial

The Approach

Indegene deployed a hybrid model that is based on our data-plus-digital-first approach which includes omnichannel marketing campaigns along with Registered Nurses’ (RN) Concierge Service. This complemented the biopharma’s existing Contract Research Organization (CRO) model resulting in better outreach and improved secondary qualification of eligible clinical trial participants. As part of the engagement, we:
Conducted comprehensive site feasibility assessment and activated sites based on client preferred sites with a real-time dashboard to track campaign and recruitment analytics
Conceptualized and developed content for all digital channels in compliance with the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Created a user-friendly trial landing page with screener questions that drove engagement and improved primary qualification of participants
Launched hyper-local, geo-fenced outreach campaigns by prioritizing digital channels to qualify patients for secondary screening
Deployed our in-house RN Concierge Services who engaged with participants within ~30 minutes of qualifying primary screener and ensured smooth handover to nearest research sites by sharing participant details via the recruitment portal
