Indegene enables enterprise consent management for a global biotechnology company
The Customer
The customer, a global biotechnology major, needed a strategic partner to implement and configure OneTrust, its consent management system of choice. This included engagement and cookie consent capture, storage, and management to support the launch of its new bispecific antibody treatment in the North American market.
Challenges
Engagement consent and preference management for different user types: The customer wanted to send home office and medical rep-triggered emails to its known customer base in the United States and required a single source of truth to capture and maintain consent and preference information.
Cookie consent management across multiple websites: The customer wanted to launch a set of new websites to provide its healthcare professional (HCP) and consumer base with additional information to support the launch of its new treatment. These websites required a mechanism to capture and track cookie consent and provide users with the option to change their preferences.
Sales and marketing enablement and access to utilize validated consent details for outreach:The customer wanted to validate data subjects and share consent from OneTrust to downstream systems such as Salesforce marketing cloud (SFMC) and the Veeva customer relationship management (CRM) system through its central data lake (CDL) (Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 Bucket).
The Solution
OneTrust engagement consent module implementation: Indegene implemented OneTrust as the single source of truth for all consent and preference information and enabled engagement consent capture, preference management, and more.
OneTrust cookie consent module implementation: Indegene created cookie, banner, and preference center designs as outlined by the design agency by implementing custom cascading style sheets (CSS) and hosted them to enable consent tracking and preference management on 3 different websites at launch.
Downstream system integration: Indegene automated the consent sync (and back sync) of validated data subjects and their master data management (MDM) ID with the customer's CDL, SFMC, and Veeva CRM systems.
Data load to enable launch: Indegene enabled sales and marketing outreach on the launch day by loading 17,000 records on OneTrust from the customer master database and third-party site registration.
Ongoing DevOps support: Indegene supported the customer with ongoing enhancement requests, product queries, trainings, consent reporting, and proof of concept (PoC).
Outcomes
Indegene enabled key integrations between the customer's core systems with OneTrust at the center as the single source of consent information. Salesforce's digital experience platform (DXP)-powered opt-in webforms and the preference center were integrated with the AWS S3 Bucket, via OneTrust, for MDM validation/mastering, before sharing validated consent information with downstream systems such as Veeva CRM and SFMC
Indegene also implemented, configured, and transformed engagement and cookie consent across websites, including setting up standard consent frameworks and tracking, managing, and establishing a robust governance model in place. The team also created detailed technical documentation and demo videos to train and onboard business users.
